2,000 Easter Eggs?

Some would ask, "Do Easter Egg Hunts and candy baskets distract people from the true meaning of Easter?"I would say, "It's possible, especially when there is no one around to remind us of what Easter is all about." At Life Church, we believe that Easter is one of the two most significant holidays of the year. We believe that children should look forward to celebrating Easter like they look forward to the celebration of Christmas. The Easter Eggs and candy do not provide competition to the Resurrection Message of Easter, but rather an opportunity to make the Season memorable for our children. It is up to us to make sure that our children know what this time of the year is all about! Join us for our commnity Easter Egg Hunt Saturday April 16th!

Free Community Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday, April 16th, 5pm at McKee Park (across from the Sportsplex on Lynn Lane) - 2,000 eggs, prizes, candy, drawings and free food!

Dida and I had this discussion last night actually.... It was a question that we had on the agenda to ask you when we see you next... GOOD ANSWER.... I agree that it should be a time of celbration and children celebrate on different levels than adults do. The one thing we are sure of is that Hannah and Evie could not ony tell the 'real' story of Easter, they could also TEACH it... detail for detail!!
