After 13 years of ministry, God began to give Laura and I a burden for Starkville, home to Mississippi State University.    We moved to Starkville in March 2009 and our goal became to start a church in Starkville that is real, relevant and relational.  Come check it out!

Having grown up in a college town as the son of two university faculty, I grew to love the college scene.  After completing my Bachelors in Education and Masters of Divinity, I served ten years as Outreach Pastor at Cathedral of the Cross in Birmingham.  I had the privilege of leading 175 of the greatest volunteers in ten outreach ministries that touched thousands outside the church each year.  My passion for the nations has led me to take twelve mission trips to nine countries.

Laura, a native of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, came to Christ as a college student.  She finished her bachelors in business at Samford University.  In 2003, she resigned her job as Corporate Project Manager at Southtrust Bank to take on a new project – raising our first born daughter Hannah Rebecca.  In 2005 Evelyn Moriah “Evie” was born.  Laura also has a passion for missions and has traveled to many countries.  She is known for her love for people.  She also has a great eye for photography and skilled with photoshop.

Worship Pastor, Jason & Kaile' Minor

A self proclaimed church baby, Jason's earliest memories are of being in church and loving the music. Since he was just over 2 years old, he has been playing drums and perfecting the musical gift God has given him. In his early teen years, he began traveling the country with various music groups and artists. The music of the church had become Jason's passion and since those early years, he has spent his time and talent glorifying God through music.

When he was still a student at Starkville High School, Jason was invited to become a member of Mississippi State University's Black Voices Gospel Choir. Jason's early invitation to join such a distinguished ministry was quite uncommon and opened the door to countless opportunities. In addition to Mississippi State University, Jason has completed coursework at the Ministerial Institute and College. He has worked as a music director/on-air personality for Starkville's gospel station Joy 98.9 and gave voice and drum lessons to youth from around the Golden Triangle area. He has served as a board member for organizations such as ICS Head Start and Mississippi's Best to name a few. Jason was voted the Golden Triangle's Best Musician in 2005 and has been recognized in many circles. Jason accepted his call to preach the gospel in 2007 and he has ministered in God's word and song before people of every race, age, and doctrinal belief. All in all, he remains humble.

Jason works best alongside his college sweetheart and, now, loving wife Kaile'. They have been blessed with 3 beautiful, intelligent, and musically gifted daughters: Raven Brealle, Kailynn Samone, and Kariah Breland. To compliment Jason's musical gift, Kaile' is a gifted soprano; the two met in 1998 when she became a member of Black Voices and they have been inseparable since. She earned her undergraduate degree in English and has completed coursework in 3 different disciplines of graduate study. Kaile'  shares Jason's passion for music and is an excellent self-taught cook sharing her passion for food through her Music 2 Ur Mouth Catering company. Together, they operate Minor But Major Music Productions, a full-scale promotions company specializing in concert production and public relations.

Jason and Kaile' believe that worship is much more than just a few minutes of good music-- worship is a lifestyle. They aim to honor God with their lives and model a Godly marriage before their children. Despite recent health battles, Jason's faith remains strong and Kaile' remains faithfully by his side every step of the way.
